It was a beautiful evening with hundreds of community minded Iowans at the Ignite Your Legacy: Shine Your Light annual banquet on September 14th at the Ron Pearson Event Center! Iowa Right to Life was one of many non-profit organizations to have a display at the Nonprofit Fair and later attended the dinner and heard Chris McDaniel’s inspiring message. What an incredible work God is doing through each non-profit organization and ICGC.
Ignite Your Legacy is ICGC’s signature annual gathering centered on biblical generosity. Each year, ICGC invites a trusted speaker to teach clearly and faithfully what Scripture says about stewardship and generosity. The goal of the night is to speak to hearts. There are no fundraising appeals. Instead, the focus is on teaching believers to consider how God may be leading them to steward their resources in support of the ministries they care about.
ICGC members are encouraged to invite board members, donors, and other supporters to attend as their guests. The event is offered at no cost to nonprofit members or their guests. At the conclusion of the evening gifts totaling $700 were given out to each organization as a beautiful example of Iowa Christian generosity.
