On Saturday, June 21, 2025, hundreds of pro-life Iowans ignored the heat advisory and gathered from across the state at the Iowa State Capitol for the 3rd annual Iowa March For Life to celebrate every life’s incredible worth! What a powerful day filled with hope, love, and purpose.

Praise music by St. Luke’s worship team filled the rotunda while a dozen Pregnancy Resource Centers, Ministries, and some pro-life politicians offered their information, resources and support to the cause of LIFE. Wil Russell with Iowa Right to Life and Maggie DeWitte with Pulse Life Advocates introduced the wonderful line up of speakers and read the statement from Governor Kim Reynolds since she was not able to attend in person. Rally attendees heard from Brenna Bird, Iowa Attorney General, and from Sarah Hurm with her moving story about her abortion pill reversal success. We were honored to hear from Jennie Lichter, the National March For Life President, who wanted to visit Iowa’s March For Life and greet our state. Dr. Pat Castle, President of Life Runners, gave the rallying charge for Pro-Life work! Prayers were given by Father Nick Stark, St. Elizabeth Seton Church in Carlisle, and Pastor David Brown, Eagle Vision Church in Norwalk. After the Rally, the march to the Iowa Supreme Court Justice building began with all ages participating with cheers and chants and pro-life signs. At the end of the march, refreshing cold water and cookies were offered under the large shade tree back by the Capitol building. A wonderful day and local press covered the event.
