Iowa General Election Voting Day is TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2026
Iowa Right to Life sent its 2026 Candidate Questionnaire to candidate campaigns and invited each candidate to state his or her position on three pro-life policy questions.
This guide includes candidates who completed the questionnaire and answered “Yes” to all three questions: supporting additional pro-life laws, supporting some kind of Life at Conception legislation, and supporting legislation to eliminate or limit the use of chemical abortion. Candidates meeting all three criteria receive an “A+” designation for the 2026 Iowa Right to Life Candidate Questionnaire.
Don’t see a candidate you were looking for? This guide includes only candidates who completed the Iowa Right to Life 2026 Candidate Questionnaire and answered “Yes” to all three questions. Candidates who did not return a completed questionnaire are not included. Iowa Right to Life does not endorse or oppose candidates for public office through this publication. This voter guide is intended to provide information about candidates’ stated positions on issues related to the protection of human life. Participation in the questionnaire was voluntary.
Candidates were asked to respond to the following questions:
- (1) Would you stand firm to advance additional pro-life laws in our state that continue to protect moms, babies, and families?
- (2) Are you in favor of Life at Conception legislation that acknowledges all human beings are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, the foremost of which is a right to life, beginning at conception?
- (3) Would you support legislation that eliminates or limits the use of chemical abortion?
