The 2025 Iowa State Fair is behind us and our look back is an encouraging read.
“There’s the babies! We LOVE the babies! We HAVE to find your booth every year!” Those sentiments were spoken hundreds of times during the eleven days by the young, by groups of teens, by moms and even grandmas. Most of the children were enamored by the set of 7- to 26-week fetal development models wanting to hold them and rock the larger ones, smiling with delight when they were told they could take one of the 12-week babies home with them. Sheepishly looking in awe at the smallest baby model set when they learned we all started that small; and even the smallest, a 7-week baby model, has a heartbeat already. We watched the wonder in visitors’ eyes as they witnessed the miracle of life and science as The Baby Olivia 3-minute video played continuously on our TV screen, one of the teaching tools options that can be used in Iowa classrooms to educate students about the humanity of the unborn. Teaching about human growth development of the unborn is now required to all 5th-12th grade students in Iowa. How wonderful is that!
We were able to spread the pro-life message by distributing 8,100 12-week gestational babies; applying 3,350 pro-life tattoos; giving away 600 pro-life pencils, 800 chip clips with pro-life messages, and 3,860 wristbands bearing the words “Protect Life” or “Love Them Both. It is incredibly encouraging to speak with the next generation of young people who stop by to say thank you, share their strong pro-life convictions, and witness the 887 individuals who signed our petition to protect life from conception.
Not everyone loves seeing us there; and for those who would discuss respectfully, we were willing to listen and hopefully send them on their way with Truth that they will have to come to terms with. Be sure and check out our other posts on the poll questions, and our post on political leaders and candidates who visited our booth.
