Absentee Ballots

The Iowa Secretary of State has the official absentee ballot application online in a pdf format. You may print this online form and fill it out by hand. Please be sure to sign the form before you send it to your county auditor. 

Absentee Ballot Deadline:  If you are voting by mail, your ballot must be postmarked the day before the election (Monday, November 3) OR returned in person to the Auditor's Office by the close of polls on Election Day.

Voter Registration

You may register to vote on Election Day at the polling place for the precinct where you currently live.  If you register to vote on Election Day, you will be required to show proof of residency and identity.

Voter registration forms are also available at the Iowa Secretary of State's Office, county auditors' offices, public assistance agencies, public libraries, and political party offices.
